Service Technician

The purpose of the function
As a service technician you are responsible for the execution of inspection, maintenance, repair and malfunctioning on site at hoisting facilities. You are accountable to the Service Manager.

The Tasks
The independent provision of service, repair, maintenance and execution of safety inspections on hoisting installations such as overhead cranes, gantry cranes, boat lifts, and chain hoists on location at customers. Further, you fix failures in these installations. Aspects of construction, mechanics, electricity and control are frequently used. The administrative work is done through a PDA (personal digital assistant). You also discuss and evaluate the work done with the customer and advise the customer about any follow-up steps.

The powers
As a service technician you have the power to independently approve the hoisting installations and to complete digital inspection reports. Furthermore, you have the power to deliver advice to the customer regarding the taking of measures and repairs following the work carried out.

The profile
You have a MBO work-think level 3/4 and a completed training in the direction of electro-technology and/or mechanical engineering. You have work experience as service mechanic and product knowledge of hoisting equipment and NEN 3140. You have followed technical courses such as electrical switching and control technology. Having a EKH (Acknowledged Certification Hoisting and Lifting equipment) diploma extends to recommendation. Furthermore, you are communicative and listening and able to live in the customer, allowing you to make a correct translation of customer needs to customer-oriented actions. In addition, you are alerting your commercial opportunities, seeing opportunities and exploiting them. Furthermore, you have an eye for safety, work your quality focused, you deliver qualitatively good work and check whether its own work meets the quality standards and the applicable safety requirements.

Details
As a service technician you need to be in possession of VCA VOL, a driver's license BE. You're also a part of our breakdown services.
The service mechanic is expected to develop himself further in the field.
